John, a lifelong resident of the area, was born in Williamsport in 1952. He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1970, attended the Pennsylvania College of Technology (formerly Williamsport Area Community College) and later graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. In 1974 John became a full-time employee with Charles M. Noll Funeral Home. He was licensed as a mortician in 1975. He was appointed supervisor in 1992, and assumed ownership of the business in 2005. John also served as Chief Deputy Coroner for Lycoming County for eight years. John is a dedicated funeral director and is active in the community. He enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and being with his family.
Lance, nephew to John Ohnmeiss, grew up in Williamsport, but left the area in 1997 to study music. Having earned his bachelor degree and masters in music from San Francisco State University and Messiah College, Lance has enjoyed many opportunities to work with nationally known composers, and is active as a conductor of the Northern Appalachian Wind Symphony. He works full time for his Uncle at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, as the person in charge of operations. Mostly a behind the scenes employee he assists with all the details in planning a service, as well as maintaining the grounds and building, taking care of the vehicles, deals with staff, takes care of the horses, and oversees the technological services for the funeral business.
Francis serves as the Office Manager at Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, overseeing all the office duties. He deals with billing, payroll, book keeping, budgeting, and ensures that day to day office functions keep moving forward. Francis grew up in San Francisco, CA and is Lance's spouse. He is fluent in spanish allowing our company to be bilingual. Mainly a behind the scenes employee, he is essential in making sure that the family business keeps pace from day to day and keeps on track for the future. He enjoys spending time outdors and with his friends and family.
T. Dondald Kuhns was born and raised in Montoursville, PA. He is a long time member of our commuinty and serves as a greeter at Charles M. Noll Funeral Home. You will most likely find Don greeting patrons, attending visitations, working at funerals, and assisting with caring for the horses. He served as band director for South Williamsport Area School District for many years during the 1970's and 1980's. He is a graduate of Montoursville High School, Mansfield University, and Bucknell University. He is a local farmer and musician. He enjoys spending time working with the animals on his farm, spending time with his family and friends, and travelling when time permits.
Charlie Gizenski, Sr. is a greeter at the Charles M. Noll Funeral home. You can find Charlie greeting patrons, attending visitations, working at funerals, and assisting with caring for the horses. Charles Gizenski was born and raised in Plymouth , PA. He retired from Bi-Lo Markets in 2003 and from a general maintenance and grounds keeper position at a private estate in 2013. He graduated from the Williamsport Area Community College in 1972 with an Associate in wood pattern making. He currently lives in Muncy, PA. His passions include carpentry, hunting and fishing, and most importantly visiting with his grandchildren. He likes spending time at his family’s farm enjoying nature and the great outdoors.
Max is a chocolate lab and is the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home's family dog. He is still quite a puppy and sometimes makes it down to help families feel more at ease during arrangements and when they need a friend to pet and comfort them during difficult times. He loves to run and be outdoors with his family of Lance, Francis, and Uncle John. He can come see people when they ask and when he is not away enjoying time at the family farm.
